GreenPrint Helps You Save Trees

Lets face it we are not a totally paperless world. There are still advantages to printing things out or having printed versions of articles we read online. That is where GreenPrint comes in, they have a free software to download that reformats website text so that you do not print out all the unnessecary banner ads and other ads and text that makes a print out a short article use 3 pages of paper.

check it out at:

Here are some compeling facts to try it:

  • A Fortune 500 company using GreenPrint would save over $2 million, 4000 trees and prevent 12,623 tons of CO2 emissions each year.
  • Over $6 billion a year would be saved if all US households with a computer used GreenPrint.
  • CO2 emissions would be reduced by over 117 million tons if all new computers used GreenPrint. That’s the equivalent of removing 23 million cars from the road for an entire year.
  • 2 million trees would be saved every year if all the Fortune 500 used GreenPrint.
  • Over 36 million trees would be saved every year if all new computers sold in 2006 used GreenPrint.

great blog! just wanted to let you know that I uploaded a post of yours to (like Digg but centered around
sustainability). It’s a great resource and I’m trying to spread the word
about it. Please check it out and upload your posts there if you can!

  2. I am soooooo glad you wrote about this. When I find things that i want to post about on my blog, I have to print them out. I am a very visual person and I need to organize accordingly. But I find when I print it out there are so many blank pages and other crud that I feel like I am ruining an entire forest. I can’t wait to try this!!!!!
